The School

We operate a chain of Full Service Dive Centres on Koh Samui, Koh Tao and in Bangkok, offering the full range of PADI Scuba Diving courses for complete beginner all the way through to Instructor level. Learning scuba diving with Planet Scuba is a fun experience, and absolutely safe. We pride our ability to offer small classes, with seldom more than 4 students per instructor. Our PADI Diving Instructors are true professionals; they love scuba diving and are very patient. They like nothing better than to introduce a newcomer to Thailand's underwater world.

The History

Planet Scuba has over 25 years of experience scuba diving in Thailand. We are one of Thailand's leading Dive Centre’s and the first Scuba Diving Centre in Thailand to be awarded the prestigious PADI Career Development Centre Rating (CDC). There are only 6 out of the 200+ dive centres in Thailand with the CDC rating. The reputation of our centre is highly regarded by PADI (the Professional Association of Diving Instructors). We have been the proud recipient of many awards from PADI over the years, including the PADI award for "Excellence in Dive Resort Operation" and the "Outstanding Commitment to PADI” award.

Gas Blending Station

Planet Scuba Koh Tao is the only dive centre on Koh Tao and possibly in Thailand that uses all 3 methods for gas blending enriched air Nitrox, a Coltri / Nuvair membrane system, a Coltri Oxytronic Continuous flow system and a partial pressure blending panel. The partial pressure blending panel is a required part of PADI Gas blender course and is only offered by a few dive centres in Thailand.

We are the proud owners of a state of the art Aerotechnica Coltri/Nuvair Membrane system that is capable of filling Nitrox up to 40% at 480 litres per minute. This translates into 1 full tank roughly every 4 minutes, which is the same fill rate for our normal 21% air tanks. This means we are able to offer all of our customers NITROX FOR FREE. *Conditions apply

We are also able to offer 100% oxygen fills for emergency and technical diving needs by means of our Haskell pump which allows us to fill tanks too much higher pressures and in much safer way.
