Planet Life Instructor

Do you want to be able to teach people the wonders of the underwater world? Then the Planet Life Instructor Internship is the perfect choice. We can take you all the way from Open Water Diver through our Divermaster program, onto your IDC and Instructor Examinations.

Our PADI IDC curriculum consists of three parts the PADI Assistant Instructor (AI) Course, the Open Water Scuba Instructor program (OWSI) and the Emergency First Response Instructor (EFRI) course. Successfully completing the AI course earns you the Assistant Instructor rating and allows you independently conduct certain PADI Programs. Completion also qualifies you to participate in the OWSI program which we run in conjunction with our IDC program. During the IDC, it is important to understand that our staff will concentrate on your skill and knowledge development, not on testing. The resort setting that we work in provides a low-stress environment that allows you to relax, which makes the learning easier and certainly a lot more fun. During the program our team of highly experienced staff will be on hand to offer you all the support you need.

Do you want to learn some additional skills?

While building up your time and experience in the water to the required 6 months as a certified diver and having the 100 dives to enroll in the Instructor Examinations, what better way than to do it learning new skills. Complete 5 PADI Speciality courses and earn the prestigious PADI Master Scuba Diver rating, you will have reached the highest non-professional level in the PADI System. Our packages start from 34,995 THB, including the PADI Deep Diver, Enriched Air Diver and Emergency Oxygen Provider, along with one 2 dive and one 4 dive speciality course.
Please note the price does not include the cost of rental for any additional equipment required for the courses.

Dive Gear:

As a future dive professional, you are going to want to have all your own complete set of dive gear. Here at Planet Scuba for all online internship package bookings we can offer you your own full set of dive gear at a special price. You will get all you need: BCD, Full set of Regulators (complete with console and alternate air source), Mask and Snorkel, open heel fins with boots, wet suit and much more. Prices start from around 41,092 THB, and a full range of upgrades are available at discounted rates, you have the flexibility to get the right equipment for you.

Accommodation:

Coming to the Island to do any of the internship packages you are going to need a place to stay, we can help you find somewhere close to the shop for a very reasonable price. Price for a fan room start from around 7,500 THB per month and 10,000 THB per month for an air con room.
Please note prices do increase during peak season.

Professional Liability Insurance:

As a dive professional you are going to want to take out Professional Liability Insurance. Although it is not a requirement to work as a Dive Professional in Thailand, it is still highly recommended. Prices vary depending on the level of cover taken.
